The InterTech Group, Inc., was founded in 1995 by Joseph T. Tazelaar and Gregory K. Falkman for the purpose of providing professional security services to corporations. Joseph T. Tazelaar, is the creator of InterTech Group, Inc., and has over 27 years of experience in both law enforcement and the private sector of loss prevention and security. Joe is a member of the American Society for Industrial Security, the Chicago Chamber of Commerce and several other state and local organizations. A college graduate in the field of criminal justice, Joe has been a licensed private investigator since 1987. In 1990 he started M.C.S., a private investigations company, which provides solutions to InterTech Group, Inc., clients beyond the contract security issues.
Gregory K. Falkman, CPP is the president and co-owner of InterTech Group, Inc., with over 24 years experience in the security and investigative field. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin, the U.S. Department of Energy's Central Training Academy and being a Certified Protection Professional, Greg brings academic as well as practical experience to InterTech Group, Inc. Greg is also a long time member of the American Society for Industrial Security.
Our offices are located at 188 Industrial Drive, Suite #208 in Elmhurst, Illinois 60126. All aspects of our business are handled from this office. This includes the recruitment and training of our security officers as well as the supervision and administration of each job.
InterTech Group, Inc., recruits the highest quality applicants and employs an extensive screening process to ensure the integrity of our service. As a result of paying the highest wages in the area for security officers, we are allowed to choose the cream of the crop.
Initial training is given at the InterTech Group, Inc., training facility to orient the officer candidate into the role of a security officer. This training is given to all new hires, including security officers with previous work history in the field of security.
We've encountered security officers with five and more years of experience in the security industry who have little or no understanding of what the job entails. We believe training is critical, especially to new hires, so they understand the importance of what they are doing for you the client.
Upon successful completion of the preassignment classroom training program, the officer candidate would participate in on-the-job training at your facility to fully acquaint the officer with your specific requirements.
All training, both classroom and on-the-job will be thoroughly documented and retained in the active employee's personnel file. The quality of the training will be measured at each level by the administration of relevant testing criterion.
InterTech Group, Inc., will perform training based on the need of the client. The time and dates of classes will be determined on a case by case basis.
InterTech Group, Inc., can provide a training facility if the client corporation has no facility available.
